The design of a small studio apartment was designed so as to increase this initially tiny room as much as possible. In this case, all well-known design techniques were used in various combinations, and all together as a result gave the expected effect: the apartment seems spacious, it is very cozy and original.
The main technique used in the design of a one-room studio apartment is coloring in one light tone of the whole room. There is a white ceiling, the same walls, the same basically and furniture. The flooring, in this case - parquet, is also light, beige. The same color sofa and the working surface of the kitchen area.
The design of a small studio apartment does not seem boring and bland due to the use of bright color accents that stand out clearly against a neutral background. We chose two colors for the color game: blue and yellow-green, they painted the legs of chairs and a table, shelves, armchairs and even the front door.
The kitchen area occupies a small corner, but due to the fact that the apartment occupies a corner position, it has its own window. And here the third principle of minimalism comes into play - good lighting. The brighter the apartment - the more it seems.
A bright blue carpet by the sofa is perhaps the main color “stain” in the apartment.
In such small volumes, it is usually difficult to find a place for things. In the design of a one-room studio apartment, one more important principle of minimalism was applied: the cabinet the size of the entire wall is made so that it is actually lost against its background. The result was a voluminous storage system that does not clutter up living space.
